whats wrong with my car?
I honestly think my car is retarded. First, I purchase a 52mm TB for my 94 Lt1 I put it on, and my car shifts very soft, and very early(except at WOT). I did a lot of researching, and found little mention on shifting problems with larger throttle bodys. I just figure its my computer. A couple days ago, I install plug wires, and a 160 thermostat from thunder racing. Now, my fans and ses light come on contantly. The only time they go off, is if I stop while in drive(below 600 rpm). I desperately look everywhere for info, but come up short. I really need some help. I dont want my fans running constantly, but dont want to go back to 180. Does anyone know what the problem could be? Ive searched for over 2 days, and have found nothing

Your TB problem is likely a mis-adjusted TPS. A scanner can show you the values, so you can make any necessary adjustments. It will also tell you the trouble code to help you get rid of your SES.

Complete interactive scanners are the best bet, no doubt. Codes, real time sensor readings and like the Snap-on unit, it even has guides with trouble shooting and directions. But few can muster the $3K it takes to ride on the Snap-on bandwagon.
The next alternative is a computer with software and a cable. Start with a company like this http://www.carputing.com/ and you will eventually find the cables and everything you need but this is still pricey if you don't already have a computer.
The last alternative is this

That along with a multimeter available at Radio-Shack for about $30.00 and you can fix your TPS problem and read the codes. All for about $60.00
