whats that smell?

alright, last night i done a little burnout, the next thing i know there is this smell like something is burning, i thought it was just the tires but it followed me, it lingered and didn't go away all night, i got up this morning and i can still smell it, it seems like its strongest inside the car, i popped the hood and couldn't really smell it, it smells almost like when you take off driving with your e-brake on, can anybody help

sounds like what everyone is telling you clutch or break's how long did you do a burn out I guss you held the break and gas @the same time??? get a line lock if you want to do big burnouts without the smelly breaks. but if its the clutch did you let it breakin?
