Just as the thread says ... I wanted to know what the smallest tire is that will fit our wheels. I have brand new Goodyears, that grip like a mother, and I dont want to waste them smoking them off. Lately theres been ALOT of cheap ( 25$ for 4 ) tires in the Classifieds, and im trying to pick up 2 (Or 4 for the rite price, smaller=cheaper) that I can get mounted on 2 junk wheels and have fun with, burn off, powerslide, stuff like that.

Also, if your getting rid of your stock rims and happen to be from around Pgh, PM me. I dont want to have to spend a ton of $ on two wheels to mount junk tires on lol.

 

I believe its 235- 60 16.... Thats what is on 6 cyl...

 

the CHEAPEST tires that fit stock rims are 235 series but they look too small.. kinda stupid looking.

cheap though.



btw, $5-10 more gets you the proper size (there were only so many OEM 16" rims, so the right size is close in price) and its still cheap enough to burn up.

I believe Nitto makes a 225/50/16 drag radial, whatever their 225/16 drag radial is fits, a buddy of mine tried them out to see if it would act like he put a smaller (numaricaly higher) gear in his car.

Looks dont matter. I just want to have them on a set of wheels that I can bolt on, and beat the **** out of when I feel like it. ****, if I thought it wasnt dangerious, id grab two of them dinky little spares, throw them on every once n a while, and roast them. Heh my friend in his mustang thinks he can do a better burnout then I can ... So I was trying to find the cheapest way to prove him wrong. I dont wanna burn my new ones off so ...

 

heres a tip..

oil makes lotsa smoke, and its still smells like the tires... noone will ever know.
