Whats needed for 11's

Do you need a Stage 3 head to dip into the 11's. Or would a stage2 head and a good cam w/ good suspension get you there

Re: Whats needed for 11's

There are guys running 11's cam only with the right suspension/gear/weight reduction setup. Stock ported heads should see you to the 11's with a larger cam but all the power in the world wont get you anywhere if you dont have the suspension/traction to keep in on the ground. LCA's, SFC's, TQ Arm, and some QA1's up front should be a nice start to modding the suspension.

Re: Whats needed for 11's

Work your 60 foot down, a good exhaust system (headers and cat-back etc). and a good cam with tuning. You can add heads for that extra assurance, but a light car (skinnies on fron etc) will go a long way.

Lets say you get your 60 foots down to 1.6s and 7s and with 350 rwhp in a 3500 race weight car you will get really close to 11s.
Leave your car at 3750 like mine and you have to add more power...

What about TEA Stg2 heads and a 847 cam. With a full complement of Spohn goodies?

Throw in a 12 bolt and some slicks while you're at it

Get it tuned right , launch hard and you'll see nice nice times.

I have seen several people with around the 350 hp mark run well into the 11s with the car set-up correctly, its all in how you put the power to the pavement.

See mods/times in sig. I only have lca's, panhard rod, no front sway bar, cheap $17 monroe shocks, and sfc's for suspension.
