whats my bone stock 97 capable of?

What is a 97 Stock TA capable of? (a4 3.23)

somewhere between 14.5 and 14.0 and if its a factory freak, high 13s?

mind you i got 90K on this thing

im gunna do a oil change,and new paper filter too just til i get some $$$ for mods

1st mod def will be my new breaks since mne aer shot to crap, and a new water pump cuz i think thats shot too...

lil off topic here, but how much is a stock waterpump? i dont think i can afford a electric one for 200 now and i need to change mine quick

sounds about right...depending on air, track conditions and what not...i have seen some LT1's pull 13.5-6's stock so i dunno its up in the air

wow, mid 13s from a stock lt1? that'll be a dream coe true... but i dont think that'll happen with this nasty FL weather

yeah i was completly amazed when i saw that, and when the guy told me it was bone stock i didnt believe him, so i made him pop the hood and it was completly stock..airbox and all... wow!

Just cause it looks stock on the outside don,t mean it is.
I had a buddy with a 95 that was faster than it should have been, it looked bone stock but had the cat hollowed out and 1.6 RRs on it and at the track he opened up the air box.
If you run high 13s be real happy.
Probably low 14s is realistic.

There is another thread going on right now on this very topic, but I'll add that if my single cat 95 can run 13.7s bone stock, then in theory a dual cat 97 with ten more horsepower can match or beat this time. Although to be honest, I've never really seen the 96s and 97s running quicker times than the 93-95s, so I question the 10hp increase.
