Whats gonna work best for me??

Alright guys and girls, im sorry, i know this question has probably been asked quite often, but i tried searching, and while it gave me some good info, it didnt quite help me out. Alright, here goes nothing!
Well, possibly this summer or this coming winter, i am looking at putting in a cam, probably the CC305, porting and polishing my stock heads, new 1.6 rockers, AS&M headers, and thats it! LOL! Anyways, im very unaware of the problems this will cause with me being an Automatic. I have no intention of going to the track with this, if i do, it will be once just to go. So, im looking at keeping this thing VERY streetable. Thats why im going with the 305. Therefore, will I need to buy a new torque convertor? I would prefer to keep the shifts and everything as close to what it is now, but i know that wont be quite possible with a new cam. So, can you all help me out??? Thanks a TON in advance for any and all help you give, I appreciate it alot!

With an A4 you could have 3.42 gears and a stock stall and still be ok with the CC305 (from what I've heard, I have an M6 and it's awesome w/ the 3.42 gears). With the 305 cam you'll want to shift higer than stock, good shift point is about 6200-6300 rpm. You might get more out of the cam with a small stall, but I don't believe it is abs necessary.

I dont know if a cc305 is considered streetable, just a thought.

Asiansensation, how is your car with the stock converter and gears??? No drivability loss or loss or brakes or anything like that? Cuz i dont want a car for the strip, i want a car strictly for the street.

No loss of drivability at all. I get about 18 mpg. Not bad I guess.

Did you get your car tuned or are you still running the factory programing? Cuz basically, what you got is more or less what i want to do to my car. Want to upgrade all that stuff, but keep it as close to stock as possible as far as driving is concerned. And I got another question for you, how do you like your FLP's? And are you running cats or ORP's? Thanks a bunch
