i wanna build up my LT1 but i dont want ANY issues smogging this biatch.Just wanna know whats the best combo and still be 100% smog legal. I know you can pass through the tail pipes with a pretty wild setup but but im talking a full smog inspection.

ok,well ill go more into detail into what im expecting. I want my Camaro to be 100% worry free,i want to be able to drive it and not get worried when a cop pulls me over to try to give me some lame *** fix it tickets and if he does (around here they might give u a fix it ticket reguardless) i want to be able to take it to the state ref and be able to pass an inspection and i want to be able to take it into ANY (no hookups) smog station and pass the *** sniffer test AND that other test where they hook shiet up to the computer and all that BS. Its a tall order but are there any really LEGIT cars like these out there??LOL
theres a guy down here that runs 12.0's and gets an average of 22mpg with a 94z28, he has the CC 218/230 cam, 3.73's, 2800 stall, headers but i dont know what brand, borla catback, no cats
the cats are removable, with'em back on he passes emissions
It was tuned here in NC at Carolina Automasters by Jeff Creech
i'm looking for the same thing you are, a fast daily driver that passes emissions
the tune makes a big difference on wether it'll pass or not, so i hope you got a good place to get your car dyno tuned when your done
oh didnt notice your in CA, the car i meantioned above passes in a state where the standard HC reading is 220ppm

I built a 95 T/A for a friend that hit 582 RWHP that passed strict IM240 emmisions. It used a 383 setup with a Vortech S-Trim and aftercooler.. I have read one guy here hitting much more h.p. emmisions legal.
One good thing about forced induction is that you do not need a radical cam at al to make great power. This means you can have like stock idle quality, great drivability, fuel economy, and still have a ton of power on demand.
I am not sure about CARB legal being you live in the socialist Kalifornia. But the car I mentioned had all emmisions equipment and passed the dyno emmisions test no problems.
