Whats the difference between these?

I managed to get my hands on a hooker muffler, I'm pretty sure its the same muffler out of the cat-back kit they sell. My question is if I put in the muffler and 3 inch pipes after the cat wouldn't it be the same thing as putting in the catback? At least in terms of power gain and sound.

Re: Whats the difference between these?

All a catback is, is the pipes and mufflers after the cat. So it would be exactly the same as far as output and sound, as long as the pipes are 3" and mandrel bent.

That's what I thought, just confirming it that's all. Got the muffler for free with a pair of tips from a friend who had spares, completely unused.
