what is the difference between a lt1 impala and a camaro lt1

 

Mainly, just the iron heads on the Impy and a different camshaft profile I believe.

 

The LT1 in the Impala had a more restrictive exhaust too. It was rated at 260HP during its whole run in the Ipmy from 94-96. The LT1 in the f-body started out at 275HP rating, and made it clear up to 305HP or so I believe, by the time the 96-97 SS cars came out.

 

Impalas iron headed...and a detuned Fbody version of the LT1

 

so it wouldnt be wise to put a impala lt1 in a camaro??
