Like they said, it stands for Cold Air Intake, it's basically an aftermarket air induction system that pulls air from under the engine bay and has a less restrictive flow from the air filter to the intake elbow itself. It nets decent gains.
i'm pretty sure it dusnt stand for Communists Are Insane.
on this site it seems to b most widely used as Cold Air Induction. however, there may be other terms for it that aren't as widely used...hope this helps. there's a lot of terms people use on the board that take a long time to get used to.
