What are your mods and your 1/4 times?
What are your mods and your 1/4 times?
I'm wondering what kind of mods and money it takes to get certain times out of LT1 Fbodies. I'm not sure where I'd like to shoot for yet, alot is going to depend on money. I'd like you guys to post your times, your mods, and how much it cost to get where you're at. Hopefully I'll get a good idea from mid-13's down to 11's. I don't know what these cars run stock either.
Re: What are your mods and your 1/4 times?
Moroso CAI, SLP 1 3/4", 3" exhaust and Flowmaster, Crane 1.6 rrs, CSI pump, bumped rev limit, free mods. I got a 13.01@112 with a 2.06 60'. With about 80 extra hp(nitrous) I managed a 12.2@120 with a similar 60'(don't remember).

Re: What are your mods and your 1/4 times?
Here's the best bang for the buck stuff, for any car; in the bolt-on category:
Gears & Posi.
Shift Kit and Converter if you have an automatic.
Better exhaust system; more free flowing.
Cold Air Intake mods.
New plugs/wires/rotor/cap & upgraded coil.
On the LT1 specifically; do the TB coolant bypass and PCM reprogram, with 160 degree thermostat mod.
You can also get a nice jump in revs & power if you do a valve spring & roller rocker upgrade. Comp Pro Magnums and Beehive valve springs are the hot ticket these days.
If you do all of the above, except the springs and RR; you should get into the mid-13's, pretty easy.
