Also they came in the 1997 Z-28's with the hounds tooth orange and white cars, they got the LT-4's as well!

 

I believe there was only one reverse 30thAnniv car (orange w/ white stripes), with an LT4. (if that's what you're talking about). It was also an SS.

Chances are... you just will never see an LT4 factory engine Camaro on the street.
They're extremely rare.

But you're right, it is '97.

 

That reverse car was built by SLP, for SLP.
It was never offered to the public.
an SLP(ex?) employee in Georgia owns it now.

and the LT4 Z28 was in the SS with the 30th anniversary package only.(100 cars to be exact).

there were NO LT4's offered in regular Z28's with 30th pkg.

 

No Z28's came with a LT4. SLP made 100, 30th ann coupes with the LT4, for US sales, they made 4 more that went overseas. GM made a oragne with white stripe SS with a LT4, a one of car. I know of two of the LT4 SS's in my local area. One's fior sale @22k.

In 96 all M6 Vettes had LT4's, A4's had LT1's

All Grand Sports in 96 had the LT4, I believe they were only availabe with the M6

In '96 you could get an LT-4 in any Corvette with only an M6 attached to it. If you wanted an automatic you couldn't get a Gran Sport. You would have to settle for an LT-1. All Gran Sports had LT-4's and an M6. The reason for no automatics with LT-4's may have been the reluctance of G.M. to crash test certify one with the automatic (pure conjecture).
