sorry guys i know that i sound dumb, but i just came from doing honda motors, and this **** has got me so confused?

also do you just have them if you get Long Tube headers ? <--- another thing i dont really understand how they get installed, and how they connect to the rest of the exhaust

 

you have two headers....one on the left and one on the right....at the back of the car there is only one pipe going to your muffler....the y pipe is shaped like a Y sorta and connects the two sides into one piece

i mean i caught that part lol......... i am just really wondering do you have to weld these things on? when you put LT's on them or what?

 

usually they either have bolt together flanges or slip fits i actually wouldnt recomend weldint the y to the headers as it would baisically ruin the headers if you try to get the y off
but welding the y pipe to the i pipe that goes over the axle is recomended but not necessary

 

If you buy LT's you buy the y-pipe to go with them (sold separately but from the same company.) The y-pipe bolts on to the headers.
