What would cause this?? Stalling/No Idle

Looking at the datamaster file I logged last night, I can sit and watch the IAC do the following.

When started, it is at 112, and once started, it drives all the way down to 0 at which point the car promptly stalls.

It's a brand new IAC, could it be faulty?? It's only been in the car for about a month now, and it still squeaky clean.

Check your vacuum, sounds like you have a vacuum leak. Also check the condition of the EGR. They get full of crud and stick a lot. You can usually push the diaphragm with your finger (be sure its cold) from the outside through the cut outs. When you push it pay attention to see if it feels rough and see if it returns smoothly.

Seems to me you have a vacuum leak somewhere though.

i never checked my iac counts when my opti went bad but it did a similar thing. it would try to idle and then completely die out.

Another thing I found after looking at the Datamaster file was that the "target rpm" was at 200??? That may have something to do with it.
