What would cause engine to over heat? OMG I think I know why read my last post LOL.

I know that might be a stupid question, but anyway I was driving on highway in 6th gear when check gauges light came on and I noticed that temp gauge was in the red. I right away pulled over and waited 10-15 mins the temp gauge came down to half so I proceeded to go home which was like 5 min away. The temprature slowly was creaping up again, I made it home and I am not sure what should I check to see what's wrong. This is the first time that my car ever did that, BTW I was going little bit faster before light came on like 5th gear 2200 RPM, but not for long. What should I do? Thanks guys.

Check the waterpump. The bearings are known to fail, and if it does, it should be losing coolant out of the weep hole at the bottom. Also check to make sure nothing's blocking the radiator or condensor. Make sure the fans are coming on at temp.

OMG you guys will never believe this I think I found out why my car over heated. I go to my car to see if the coolant is leaking out of the weeping hole when I found out that I lost my air damn, I have ground effects and I got bigger air damn with it. I hangs like 2 inches of the ground and I have always keep hitting stuff like man covers in the road. It was all cracked up I and thought one of these days was gonna fall off. I tried to fix it but was not able to do it my self. I think body shop can fix it though, so its 2:30 am and I am gonna go back on the highway and see if I can find it.
