What will it take to hit 12.99?

Thats all i really want to do with this truck before i start on other projects. IE paint and interior as this will be a show truck. Anyways, i want to know if a 12.99 can be achieved on a stock block? Im sure it can i just want to know how. I really dont want to port the head either. Do you think about a grand will put me into the 12s? I was thinking cam, stall, the full header back exhaust ill have anyway by swapping the motor. What will that give me? Please help me

BAHAHAHAHA yea it is a 99 s10 with the 2.2 and no it wont hit 12s with a stock block. but i am putting a 95 camaro LT1 in. it will be stock when it goes in but hopefully i wont be for long. I will have a big tube shorties with a full header back exhaust with flowmaster mufflers. Hopefully that alone will put me around 13.7?

no... he was laughin because i made a joke about an s10.. and that's what he's got. if you read past that he is putting an lt1 in. since you are changing engine, you dont care about emmisions i assume...

a cc306, 1.6:1 rr, lt headers and cai should put you mid-high 12s

How much does a S10 like yours weigh? There a lot of LT1 F-body guys going 12.9 or faster with fairly modest bolt ons...like a stall, LTs, elelctric water pumps, CAI, etc. Just be sure to spend your money where it matters and not on unproven novelties.
