I am wonderinig what will sound better, hooker longtubes, Y pipe, 2OTL with or without a cat? I don't want to attract too much attention from the police.

You just answered your own question. Your car will be quite a bit louder without the cat and give the police more reason to hassle you. With the cat, the tone will be a little deeper and more refined.

I had twin cats on my hooket LT before i switched to no cats.

Sound difference is HUGE. With the cats on it was very tame until you got past 3k rpm or so. Without cats it is loud, raspy, and attracts attention (just what i wanted!)

If you do decide to go the cats route, i have a custom made Y pipe with cats for the hooker LT over in the for sale section.

Would a single high flow cat be a big restriction? I DONT have emissions but I dont want it to be too loud.

You really cant run just 1 cat with longtubes. No where to put just one. You would need to have the y merge, then go into the big cat, and theres just not that much room.

Twin style is the only way to go. With that Y pipe i mentioned before i picked up 7 mph (with headers too, duh!)

I second the no cat.

However, with long tubes it becomes even louder than my MAC setup with ORP and cutout. You didn't mention putting a cutout on after.

Mine is loud, and sounds great.

I also have a very mild cam, and forged pistons running at approx. 11.1 compression.

Car sounds down right mean at WOT. Nascar style.

I can let you know soon, I've got an SLP 2OTL catback sitting in my room right now waiting to be installed. It's easy for me to switch the cats for offroad pipes too
