Don't know about top speed, but low 12's are possible in the 1/4 mile.

Geuss I found my new setup Mid's were my goal, so if I can get low's, I'll be plenty happy.

Basically, what he did :

Check GREGG 97Z out. He is cutting very low 12's with the Hotcam, with about 340 rwhp, and 350 rwhp with the cutout open.

So are you saying that you have the CC502? That is the cam I am looking at also. Do you have it in the car yet?

No cam yet, hoping to get a CMotorsports Cam Kit GP together, check out the Supporting Advertiser board, we still need a couple more people.

My initial plan was LE heads and 230/236 but I think the money for porting can be spent elsewhere....suspension! Plus, she's a daily driver and I'm a kid--I don't need more than 350hp. But yeah, CC502 is what I'm looking at.

EDIT: Here you go, we only need THREE more!

Cam Kit GP

I am hoping for around 330-340 rwhp.. and told me mid to high 12's are more like it.. that would be sweet if I got low 12's

What's being a kid got to do with anything? I had a low 12 second 77 Z28 when I was in high school. Couldn't drive it every day cause gas mileage sucked. By the way, check your PMs or e-mail and get back with me on the cam GP.

Yeah, mid to high 12's are more normal with that kind of HP, but low 12's are possible with the right suspension and a little weight reduction (from the car )

Chris,
Tried PM'ing you--Mailbox is full. And about the kid thing. I just...don't want to get myself in too much trouble. Mid 12's are plenty quick for me. Don't forget, I'm going to mid 12's from mid 16's

It's going to be fun when you decide you want a blower. My box should be empty now.

Depends on traction.... but 12's are def attainable..... low 12's would be pushin it...

That's all I'm looking for

Plus that flat torque curve....I'm already drooling. And for top speed, an LT1 with ~275hp can do 150-155 so with 330hp, well, probably more than the suspension could handle and more than I'd even want to go. Cool though

If you want a nice flat torque curve, pick a cam with very little valve overlap. BTW, which one are you going with? CC305?

Ps. You have another PM.

CC502, XE218/224 -- Same thing. Look at the link I posted further up the page, and look at his dyno chart. You can't get much flatter than that!

PS. Hit ya' Back

xe 230/236 here, on a 112 LSA... I am about to get a dyno so no clue yet, except for the fact that I already shattered a valvespring into 3 pieces and threw a valve... best explanation I can find for the spring shattering is a lock coming out somehow at high rpms......

should be running in another day or 2. dynos and track times coming soon, but trust me it has a LOT more rwtq than I had before all the valvetrain was rebuilt, I had 327 rwtq then.... hoping for at least 350rwtq tuned and 345 rwhp... going to dallas next week to dyno it.
