With the CAI and the Silencer removed, you'll really be abe to hear it suck air.

 

Untill you get LT's and exhaust......

 

Im getting one of the stainless ones from Summit. Yes theyre pricey but man they look hot.

 

Being from Canada I used a hockey puck and trimmed it to fit eh. Then just used a hose clamp to seal it. Works perfect.

I cut a piece of MDF to fit on a band saw and hose clamped it in. I noticed no difference in sound or power or anything without it. Just makes it easier to remove without that dumb thing hanging off there.

 

My car is like that but if u dont tape it or seal the hole your car wont run cause the air will bypass the maf sensor and cause it to flood out or choke its self out but as long as u plug it it willl be fine

 

If you plan on running nitrous leave it or tape the shampoo cap on it, this way if you ever have a nitrous backfire through the intake it blows that off instead of blowing up your mass air. Just a lil insurance on a nitrous car, but hey how would i know

 

Is this on all years of LT1's? I haven't noticed it, but then again never really looked.
