well backstory is when attempting to install my water pump, by accident i over tightened the coolant temp sensor and cracked the actual housing so now i went to discount to buy another waterpump and was wondering if i can still use the brass plug off the old one also should i use rtv on the electric waterpump housing and brass plug if soo what type should i use thanks

 

I used just the standard black RTV. If you have the copper or red RTV those will work too.
