What tuneup items for new used Z?

My girlfriend just purchased a 94Z. What things should tuneup to make the car runs well. So far I have thought of
- Change the oil (I use Mobil 1 in my car would that be good for a car with 73K on it)
- Change trans fluid (what kind should I get?)
- Change sparkplugs (I have Denso Iridiums)
- Change air filter or perhaps CAI
- Change fuel filter (Stock or aftermarket whats best?)
- Add some fuel injector cleaner
Can you guys think of anything else that I might want to cover.

It is always good to change all imaginable fluids. Oil, transmission, and coolant. Assuming you have an A4, Mercon/Dexron III is the tranny fluid you will need. You will get everyone's take on which oil to use. Most go back with the green coolant, although some feel the Dexcool is better, your choice.

Get used to the search button and start with spark plugs. You will get a plethera of information regarding this topic.

A/C Delco fuel filter will do just fine. Again, a search or Haynes manual (what I used) will help with this procedure. $10 and 15 minutes later, no more worrying about when it was changed last.

CAI would be good if you have the money to drop right now, otherwise, just change out the filter.

Also, do a search on the name ACA Performance. He did a real good write up on using Seafoam. This should help clean things up on the inside.

Hope this helps and welcome to the board.

At that mileage, spark plug wires would be something to think about if they are original. There is not a lot of room on the passenger side, so set aside some extra time to do them.

Yep defiently also change the air filter. Mind as well throw on a K/N filter, u can find them cheap on the boards and they are cleanable and last forever (supposedly). If not, throw in a CAI for a lil added kick in you g/f car

My sister drives a 93 MX6 and i just pulled the air filter out of there and it was dirty as HECK! We got it with 50k like a few years ago and it has 70k now ( all thanks to me driving back and forth from school to home) and the filter was horrible. So i went to the mx6 boards and got a k/n filter for like 10.00..
