is it like the power tune in your hpp or can u use this in combination with your hpp

 

It is an electronic gizmo that intercepts the signal from the Throttle Position Sensor (TPS) and modifies it to show the computer WOT at 70% throttle. This initiates WOT open loop, which is a more aggresive timing/fuel map that ignores input from the O2 sensors. It does not change any programing, it just initiates WOT sooner. It is compatible with stock or modified (HPP, etc) tuning.

This supposedly gives you better throttle reponse and mid range power.

IMHO, it is money that could be spent better elsewhere, but I haven't heard of any complaints.

What does it look like and where does it go? I'm just wondering if my car has it on, since I don't have history on it and with my programming it seems to have the problem of being in WOT mode at half throttle. Mostly the problem is down shifting at 6000 rpm's.

 

I talked to a guy with one a while back and he said it made his car run smoother amd got ride of the surging in acceleration no added performance

 

It gives you pe mode at 70% tps instead of 80% (stock). It's mounting ears are slotted for easy adjustment, a good deal,IF you need a new tps.

The one I saw replaced the TPS, this one goes inline.

 

Doesnt ebay have a guy that sells a knock-off version of this? I think it was like 64.99 or something like that and you can have your choice of color
