That doesnt make any sense. I think the charcoal canister hooks up to the a vaccum block that goes to the intake manifold.

Where does the line in the fuel line conduit hook up to exactly.

Yea I was curious about that too when I was attempting an engine swap on my V6. The six has 3 quick connect fittings but the eight only has 2. Doesn't really matter right now, but I figured it had something to do with the EVAP.

Yea one is a vent. I remember on my old Z that line was melted open. The previous owner moved it into some weird position and was laying against the exhaust manifold...I kinda freaked out when I saw that....

Re: What is the third fuel line under the hood go to?

The "third line" is the vacuum line that pulls fuel vapor out of the charcoal canister when the EEC purge solenoid opens. The line stays bundled with the 2 fuel lines until midway alond the drivers side of the intake manifold. Then it drops down into the valley between the intake manifold and the head, where it connects to a U-shaped metal tube. That tube points forward, and metal and rubber lines route in front of the intake manifold, under the throttle body, and go to the EEC purge solenoid on the passenger side of the intake manifold, on a bracket roughly between #4/#6. From there, there is a rubber hose that runs forward and connects to the lower vacuuum port on the passenger side of the throttle body. That pulls fuel vapor into the throttle body.

Re: What is the third fuel line under the hood go to?

Is that stuff nessacy? I have been running mine the past few days without any of the stuff in the picture. I just plugged the open vaccum lines. I left the fuel vapor line in the conduit.

I did hook up the charcoal canister, but maybe I was wrong about where that line goes to, I thought it went to something that went to the intake manifold.

Anyone else not run this thing?

Item #2 in the diagram goes to the charcoal canister in the left, rear wheel well. Most people get obnoxious gas fumes from not having the lines connected. Like most other things that people remove, it does not hurt anything to leave it in place and operational.

Re: What is the third fuel line under the hood go to?

When you think about it, there is some sort of fuel savings, because the engine ends up burning the HC vapor that would have escaped out the tank vent, if the charcoal canister wasn't there.

800HP nitrous motor, and I still have it connected. The C16 fumes burn my eyes sitting in the staging lanes, without it.
