What TB brand?

My original brand was going to be BBK, but then I saw that Summit had their own brand and it's fairly low priced. Does anyone have one of those? Are there any sticking problems or fitment problems? My main concern is having a good fit with no blades sticking. I'm willing to spend more money to get a worthy part than save some cash.
Thanks

I bought one of the summit TB and they look decent in person.
Here is a link to what mine looked like.

Edit: Sorry for the low quality images...I guess google.pages dumps the quality down somehow.

The polished version isn't anything to rave about and could use a lot more work to make it a pretty nice piece.

I haven't been able to get mine installed yet but I spoke to a few people that have used it and dont' have a problem with it.

I would just have the factory one ported or look for a holley off ebay.

Arizona Speed and Marine makes one of the nicest pieces I have seen but you pay for it. Never had a problem with mine, only thing I find annoying about the aftermarket units is the cable cam part has an accelerated opening rate on the low end. Makes launching a 6 speed with a large cam hard at first but you get used to it.

From what I've heard, the Summit brand is outsourced from an overseas company and they may not be the best quality. Personally, I would go with an AS&M or Holley piece.

What size? I bought my 52 which was an AS&M modified stocker. Price was right and the quality and appearance nice. AS&M also has 54s and 58s, but they are spendy because they are made from scratch.

Between BBK, Holley and AS&M I'd go for AS&M anyday. JMHO

Why spend the big money? Just have your stocker punched out to 52mm. Cost about $150. Unless your doing this for the looks of it. You really have to be pushing some HP to need anything larger than a 52.

I have a holley 58mm and the only complaint was the return spring not pulling it completely closed. I sent it back and got a second one and it still woldnt close when I slowly let off the throttle but it would snap back if you jabbed the throttle quick. So I added a second spring and that worked great, now that it has some wear and tear I took the spring off and it closes fine. It was almost like the bore and the blades were to tight and it took some use to get them to close 100% on there own. I checked on the boards and thats a pretty common problm with the holleys.

I'm getting a 58mm because I plan on doing some major mods later on (heads/cam). I know it may be overkill for now, but its not going to hurt to put it on. I'm porting the intake manifold to 58mm as well. The only decision left is what brand. Never heard of AS&M but I'll look into them.
Thanks so far

They make some very good quality parts, only downside is you'll pay some extra for them though: http://www.azspeed.com/inco1.html

I compared the Edelbrock and Holly piece side by side before purchase and the Holly just looked like a much better piece...and If I'm not mistaken the Edelbrock was really just a BBK with a different plate.

I always thought Holley was made by Edelbrock...it is just two different lines of the same product.

I think BBK is a different company altogether.
