What is the stock head et record
What is the stock head et record
What is the record et for a stock headed LT1? What are the official rules for this title? Is this record for a stock longblock? This record that FrankZ is referring to is what I'm interested in knowing more about. Is it for unported/untouched heads or can you re-valve the head? I read that it is somewhere in the 11.30 - 11.40 range. Any info on this would be great.
Re: What is the stock head et record
As far as I know frank has it.
Anything goes except:
Head milling
Head porting
Valve work / valve job
Shortblock work
No blower/turbo/n20
More or less all bolt ons, and valvetrain mods are ok

Chrism400 I thought i answered your question on the earlier thread. my heads are stock unported, unmilled,no grinding, stock valvejob. My shortblock is stock untouched also. I run stock torque arm like you also. And my times are on DOT tires all the way around. My car is a street car not a stock eliminater car and I ran 11.27 118.90. My best 60ft is 1.48. To my knowledge no one has run quicker NA with a LT1 cam only. Also my car weighs 3300#s with me in it. Good Luck Frank95z

Do you have any info on raceweight?
Re: What is the stock head et record
11.27 is really moving Frank. I need to put my car on a diet big time. It's an interesting quest. It would have been nice if my car had originally started as a freak. It went 14.92 @ 93 when I first ran it after buying it from a repo auction.
Re: What is the stock head et record
Well valve job is an interesting term. A stock valve job really wouldnt do much for anyone, you need a "valve job" for your valves to seal. We are avoiding multiangle seats, backcut 30 on valves etc. You can do a stock valve job and not gain any cfm, do a race type job, and pick up 15+ cfm
As for raceweight...whatever.
this isnt like some NHRA class. Its an internet big ***** contest.
