what springs with le3 cam
what springs with le3 cam
i emailed loyd but i got a little confuse. "We need some of the bee hive springs or if we use a dbl spring, it will need to be the Comp 977's and Ti retainers." Does this mean i can run the 918s ? Basicly i need springs that wont have to have the heads machined. I asked about the crane 10308 kit but he said not enough pressure. Can anyone help me out, ive been searching and not much comes up to help. I also searched but couldnt find why people use titianum retainers is it to twist it to 7k? Maybe i should stick with the gm847 and run the crane 10308 setup seems simpler.

Whatever you do, run the parts suggested by your cam supplier, and make sure you know the rpm range in which your engine will work best. If your chosen cam makes power above 6500, and you don't plan to run it there, you should rethink your plan.
FWIW, just what is it you want to accomplish with your mods? Do you want a quicker Daily Driver that almost anyone could drive, or do you want a track-only race car...or are you goals somewhere in between?
Here's a good post from Lloyd:
