What size is this engine now????

Ok. I bought a remanufactured LT1 from Advanced Auto and I looked inside the spark plug hole and there was little numbers on the side of the piston that said .040 which i am assuming means its bored 40-over. How big is this engine now in cubic inches and is there much of a power increase?

Input Parameters Are the Following:
Number of Cylinders are = 8 to 1
Piston Diameter = 4.000 Inches
Piston Oversize = 0.040 Inches
Engine Stroke = 3.480 Inches
Computation Results:
Computed Engine Displacement (CID) is 357
Computed Engine Displacement (Litres) is 5.8
Computed Engine Displacement (CC) is 5848.3

And NO, maybe 3 or 4hp

But the tq would be higher then 3 or 4. Something like 5 or 6. and most of the power is being added in lower rpm range. Now you have even less traction yea!

.....or; square the bore x the stroke x .7854 {which is pie} x number of cylinders = the cubic inches....

example; 4" bore & 3.48" stroke is: 4 x 4 = 16, 16 x 3.48 = 55.68, 55.68 x .7854 = 43.73, 43.73 x 8 = 349.85, rounded up to 350 .....

.040 over is 4 + .040 = 4.040 so-o-o 4.040 x 4.040 = 16.32, 16.32 x 3.48 = 56.80, 56.80 x .7854 = 44.61, 44.61 x 8 = 356.88, rounded up to 357 ....
just incase your curious.... Bill...

Maybe he's not talking about Pi, maybe an actual "Pie"?
