What should I expect with this setup?

I am building a 355 with an LE1 package. It will have 30lb injectors, 52mm tb and equal length shortys. This is through a T56 and 4.10 gears. I know the headers will hold me back, but they are what I have right now. What can I do to this to improve it?

370-380RWHP, A solid low 12 second car if you can hook. On second thought, with it goin in a 3rd gen, once you get it dailed in, I dont see why you couldnt pull off a 12.0 with some really good traction/60'

I would like 400rwhp, but this will be a start. Would full length headers make a big difference?

I think to see 400, your for sure gonna need, a LE1 HL cam, and heads like LE2's. 58MM, and all bolt ons, EWP, True Duals, long tubes. That should hit 400 to the wheels.

What do you mean by "HL" cam? I told Lloyd that I wanted an agressive cam. I am staying away from the ewp because this is a street car. I plan on putting long tubes on next year. I already have no emission equipment of any kind.

Re: What should I expect with this setup?

Thats one of Bret Bauers cam grinds, its an LE1 Cam, with higher lift. Basically, it has the duration of an LE1 Cam, with the lift of a LE2 cam. Its sure seems like a pretty decent cam from everything I have heard read and seen of it. It doesnt really extend the RPM range like jumping from an LE1 to LE2 cam, but does make a couple more HP, and some significant gains in TQ.

I kind of wish I would have known that before I ordered my LE1 package. Maybe on the next engine.

le1's do not make 400rwhp. I'd aim for 360-375
