My motor needs to be completely gone through. It needs to be bored out at least 30 over to clean up the scratches in the cylinder bores and get all of the metal filings out of the oil passages in my motor from the spun bearing.

These are the parts that I have that are sitting here...
BBK 58mm TB, Ported & Polished Heads, Holley 36# Injectors, CC306, Comp R Lifters, Comp 1.6 Pro Mags, ARP 7/16 Rocker Studs, Reround Crank, Rod & Main Bearings, PM Rods, & some misc parts that I probably forgot.

I was planning on leaving the stock pistons and fitting them with new rings, but 2 of my top rings were broken and the bores in the block have some scratches.

I have already talked to a machine shop and have all of the prices to bore, aglin hone, hot tank, and put my new pistons on my good rods.

But here is where I'm having alot of trouble. I'm trying to do this on a budget since I can't afford to spend $600 just on pistons. So I was going to get the SUMMIT REBUILD KIT with forged Speed Pro pistons, but the pistons are for gen1 motors and have standard size rings, LINK TO PISTON APPLICATION. I will buy this kit if it will work, but I have been told that it won't. The other kit that summit has with the hyperutectic pistons has metric rings and they are suppost to be for the Gen2 motors, but they are only 9.9:1 compression and stock pistons have more compression than that.

So basically I need to know if the summit kit with the forged pistons will work and if it won't can someone please send me someplace that has a rebuild kit with the right pistons that is about the same price as summits.

Sorry for the long post, but I can't figure this out and I just need someone to tell me if those pistons will work or not.
