Headers or catback? Don't have enough moolah to get both at the same time. So I am curious as to which one would make the most power first. Is the restriction out the back more than the restriction from the front or vice versa?

How about headers and a cutout for your stock exhaust? I wouldn't use it all the time, but if you take it to the track once in a while it'll help.

Generally, people do the catback first and then headers.

Re: what should come first?

Darn good question. I'd like to see someone dyno with just headers, shorties and long tubes, then just the catback then both.

I wouldn't expect a firm, correct answer with anything to back it up.

If I were going to start from scratch again, I think I'd do headers first just to see what happened. I want to think the manifolds are more restrictive than the oem exhaust in their respective percentiles, thus doing headers first would make sense. I don't have enough experience to know; just something I've thought about.
