I don't know what it's called but I'm pretty sure it's part of the
EVAP Evaporative Emission Canister Purge Solenoid Valve.

I just looked at my EPA sticker and it is the Canister Purge Solenoid Valve.

Just look at your EPA sticker.

It's the vacuum switch, not the solenoid. It is for monitoring vacuum flow in the system (required for OBD-II). It should be just in front of the solenoid valve on the side of the intake.

I have not been under the dash of a 1997. That might be the BCM (it would contain the alarm functions). Does it have a 32 way and two 6 way connectors on it?

Re: What Sensor is this

It just has the two plugs on it with six wires on each plug.
On one side the wires are biger than the other.
I have a Sliver box under the center console.
I throught that was the BMC that also is hooked up to the air bags.
Also known as "The Black Box".
Thanks,

Chris G.

Might be the DRL module. It has blue and black 8 cavity connectors (they might not all have wires in them).
