What sensor is this?

On the passenger/top side of the radiator there is a sensor that just pushes into the radiator. Like a plug basically. Is this the coolant temp sensor? Mine was yanked out about a month ago after someone rear ended me causing my fan shroud to pop out of the grooves which yanked down on the wires going to that sensor. I remember pushing it back in and thinking "why didn't it snap in or anything". Yesterday it popped out again while driving only this time when I pushed it back in it snapped in place. Hopefully that fixed it.

Re: What sensor is this?

There is a metal spring clip that allows it to snap in place and stay put. Make sure the spring "wire" is there.
