what seals to replace when doing cam swap??
ordered the hotcam kit for my car. im trying to get everything in order before i start working on the project. ive searched on this subject and still have a few questions....
what seals would you guys replace?? i know everyone talks about the waterpump seal. what else though? should i replace all the seals in the timing cover?
my car is pushing 18,000 miles. im just wondering if i should really replace something if its not broken? i would really appreciate any advice!! thanks!

Even though your car is low mileage, rubber seals decay with age and exposure. It would be good/cheap insurance to replace the crank and opti seal along with the w/p seal while you had things apart. You normally can get a timing cover seal "set" from your local auto supply, that has the cover gasket and all round seals. Make sure you follow the guides for doing the w/p seal that has been discussed. If you don't know, do a search.
I figure anytime I tear into some part of the car or anything for that matter that has a seal pertaining to it I replace it. I know you can probably get away with not changing some of them but why take the chance.
You can pick up a gasket package from http://www.thunderracing.com for your cam install, it has all the gaskets you'll need.
