What rpms are safe for our car?

I was wondering hat rpms are safe for our car? I just get my car and I wont wana kill my angine so soon ). On what rpms do you ussually change your gears?

ps. Does anybody have mufflex 4" exhaust?

9,000 RPM


















J/K On a stock LT1 i was told it's unsafe anywhere over 6700 RPM's because bad things will happen

shift yours at 5600-5700RPM.its pointless to rev it any higher with the stock cam

If your stock, shift no more than 5800 RPM... Anything higher would prob. float valves, or possibly break something....

actually,he'll probly experiece valve float,but i dont think he'll break anything by reving it above 5800 its just that he wont be making hardly any power above it,causing the car to run slower than it potentially can.

you have a rev limiter that should keep you safe - just don't program it away
