The MSD wires will run me like $90/set though won't they? I was hoping to pay less than that.

That's not too bad then. $20 more than Taylor Crapro-Pro for decent wires.

Getting worse as the car heats up may have something to do with the computer going into closed loop operation. Sounds like a sensor problem, wouldn't know which one though a scan tool would probably help find the problem though.

Cwynn,
I have a ALDL cable and about 5 different programs, no luck. The o2's were all over the place but i think thats as a result of a missfire. I unplugged both o2's, and aside from running so rich i was getting high, I didnt see much difference.

I even had a mechanic put it on the diagnostic and they couldnt find anything wrong. They even told me there was no missfire. Maybe they don't know that obd1 doesen't report missfires, or maybe they're too lazy to test the old fashioned way.

disco192,
I'll let you know on the wires.
I can't tell from the pic, but are those custom fit LT1 wires, with the opti boots on them?

Do they include the coil wire?

Yup, they are custom fit LT1 wires (part # 32149) and they do include the coil wire.

Was that $65 shipped?

Pep boys has them for $74.48, so with shipping that would probably come out about the same.

I'm taking my car to the dealer tomorrow to find out once and for all what's wrong with it. I'm betting among other things, the wires will need replacing, so I'll let you know for sure within a day or so.

#31839 is for the TBI f-bodies.

I can take a few more pics tomorrow if you would like. There are 10 wires and a wire marker. 9 are plug wires and one is the coil wire.

Hope this helps,
Stu

9 are plug wires? what do they give you a spare?

carparts.com said #31839 could also be used, so thats why I asked.

Yup, 9 look like plug wires and one is the coil wire. I was a little confused by this. If you want, i can take some pics tomorrow when the sun comes up (crappy camera phones).
