With a 160* stat, a CSI water pump, and some purple ice, my car will hit about 170-180 in the Florida heat with the AC running.

I would say go with a Griffin aluminum radiator. Very good cooling and light weight.

Ignition mods IMO are not going to add anything for power unless you have a power adder of some kind (NOS or supercharger). I would just get bigger wires and maybe a coil if you don't already have that. As far as an ignition box I would hold off because you will not see much of a gain for the money.

In all honesty there is no need for a bigger radiator. I would try the following before buying an aftermarket radiaor:

- Put a 160 Thermostat in
- Get computer reprogrammed so fans come on earlier
- Electric Waterpump.

im not sure where you heard that elec. water pumps arent good for daily drivers. theyre great for anything. they cool better and free up some horsepower in any type of driving.....end of story.

Take it from me, my car is a daily driver, it endures 115+ degrees in the summer, i have an electric waterpump that i just added last week, my fans are programmed to come on early, i have a 160 stat., My car never goes over 180, never. this was even before the elec. water pump.

i have a lot of family in houston, and i guarantee you that all you need to get your car to run cool even in the hottest houston months is a 160 stat and either a fan switch, or a tune to make em come on. dont replace your radiator unless its bad. if you do those 2 things and its not running as cool as you would like, get the water pump.

I think what he meant was it's longevity. It'll go out long before and mechanical pump would.

Reprogram fans and a 160* thermostat is a good start. I'd also have your radiator flushed and make sure there's no crap like leaves, plastic bags, etc stuck on the radiator. That makes a BIG difference.

I live nw of houston and I have an electric wp it has worked fine so far but I've only had it maybe 1/2 a year as for ignition I have a ltcc it's also been alright so far. I want to believe it's better than stock but as far as being the best I just don't know. I guess it's all about how much money you want to spend like most modes but I believe it's more than enough for me.

My car ran warm, but a 160 thermostat and a reprogram seems to have cured this condition.
