what is the quietest and best flowing cat back

I currently have a dynomax bullet, set up like a poor mans dynamouth. Its getting old to listen to I was wondering what is the best cat back out thier that is very quiet but flows extremly well. loud is cool but ill install a cut out if the flow is to backed up maybe ill put the stock muffler on and run an electric cut out from quick time so it will even look completely stock but at a push of a button it will flow well for at the track

What do you guys and gals think

if so i will have a bullet and a flowmaster for sale for a good price LOL

Thanks
Steve

well hmm I would have to say SLP two on the left exhaust its very quiet at idle and just clean sounding at wot I mean I guess its kinda loud but compared to others its quieter plus it's the best flowing on the market with borla and corsa being on the same level of flow

Sounds like you are looking for a more " Refined" system. Loud does get annoying especially when you get older. If this is what you are looking for then I have to plug my system. Corsa. A bit pricey but definately worth every penny in my opinion. It does not resonate in the car under normal driving but when you hit it........ everyone will know.

Good Luck on you decision.

They don't come in a catback, but the Dynomax Ultraflow is fairly quiet and a straight-through design muffler. So it flows great.

To some extent, quiet and free-flowing are mutually exclusive. Adding some back pressure or silencer volume (or both) and reversing flow are ways to quiet a system. Keeping the flow as straight and uninterrupted as possible is a good way to make it free-flowing. There are systems available at either end of the spectrum and a lot that are at different points in the middle. They all have to compromise some if you want to drive it without having to shout at your passenger. Some people just like loud. You'll get a hundred different replies from people saying that theirs is best. I tend to think that the stainless systems are worth the extra and of those the Corsa is probably one of the nicer ones. Good luck.

If you're looking for a quiet catback get one with a muffler that has packing material in it, that will quiet it down without hindering flow. Off the top of my head I know Magnaflow and Dynomax are both sraight through mufflers with packing material.

Another Vote For B&B TriFlow a very refined rumble @ idle/normal driving , but @ WOT it really wakes up ! ( Sounds Great )

SLP Two on the Left.

It's very smooth, no popping or gurgling due to it's straight-through, non-chambered design.

magnaflow is a bit qieter at cruizing speed, little deeper at idle and a little louder under acceleration then the TOTL and they are both very refined and no poping.

I had a Borla on my 95 Z and with the full block-off plate, it is just a little louder than stock with a much better sound, especially at WOT. It was so quiet in normal day to day driving, I experimented with drilling holes (smaller than what is provided by Borla) in the block off plate and fnally settled on a 3/4" hole, for best sound w/o the popping on decelleration.
