Arrow What is quicker... 3.23s/2400 stall or 2.73/3000?

Just curious.. which one of these would be quicker provided mods and conditions are the same and traction is good?

There is no concrete answer to that. I ran a few runs through my Drag2000 program just for fun. Lower powered engines that did not have a traction issue seemed to run a tick faster with the 3000/2.73 combo. Higher powered combos seemed to like the 2400/3.23 combo. But in reality, neither answer is correct, since both stall speed and gear ratio should be matched to the engine/car setup.

i'd say the 3:23 gear, with a lower ratio you put more to the ground. and the lower the gear the less stal youll need. for instance i had a 4500 stall with 323 gears the car flew on top end and low end was awsome. put the 373 gears low end was still insaine but 3rd gear sucked. i,m having the converter tightend up now, if your curious pm me in a few days i'll let you know.
