What pushrod Length for Scorpions 1.7?

I am running stock everything.... and willing to upgrade RRs

This is the set up I have in mind:

Scorpion Roller Rockers scp1026
Beehive Ovate Valve springs 26918
GM pushrod guide plates 14011051

Hardened chromemoly pushrods length = ???
I need to find out what size of studs 3/8? or 7/16?
Valve locks? 648-16 or 787-16 from Compcams.com?

LT4 Valve covers <to reduce valve train noise

What would you guys recomend? I am not gunna race but I want a stout set up... for the street only.

any opinions ideas? info?

thanks in Advance

LT4 valve covers are expensive and unneccesary. Adjust your valvetrain right and it wont be that loud. Stock studs are 3/8, but 7/16 are a cheap and easy upgrade.

i also am learning what i need to know for when i do my scorpion rockers

Great.. I am going with 7/16 studs. Anyone wanna chip with a pushrod lenght other than OEM size?

I could check the geometry my self but it would take forever to have pushrod check measuring thing delivered to hawaii and then I will have to order the pushrods I want... Most likely the speed shops here wont have any of that in stock anyway... we talking a month just to get the proper size pushrods not including the fact that I can only work on my days off since its my daily driver!!

can anyone recomend a pushrod lenght?

I did my research and for the beehives you can go either 26915-16 or 26918-16... compcams.com has a kit for the 26915-16 but I dont wanna go with the recomended pushrods unless I know the correct length for the LT1.

If you do a search you will find out lots of guys are using Beehives already although the listing is for the ls1/ls6 engines.

True very true... but as an average... will the pushrod need to be longer or shorter if the stock OEM size does not fit anymore?

Its a standard 7/16 small block chevy stud. So those should work. Stock length pushrod is 7.200

But it's cheaper than having new parts delivered from having a pushrod too long bust a lifter.

I would **THINK** a 7.200 would work. I also thought the same thing on my motor. I checked it to be sure and it ended up I needed a 7.300"
