What plugs and what gap?

Used to always run TR-55s gapped at .050" on my stock internalled 95z28. Now i need to know what plugs i should run on my new car.

383 LTx 11:1 CR
LE2 heads

All other mods are in sig but i think these are the only two relevant ones. For the time being, this motor will be N/A.

So, what plugs would you guys recommend? TR6s? Autolites? Also what gap? Thanks guys

The TR55's at the same .050 gap should be fine. I have some milled LE2 heads on a 350 with about the same compression, maybe a tad more and run the TR55-IX iridiums with .050 gap just fine. YOu would start using a tighter gap when you get into a boosted or NOS application.

GM changed their recommendation concerning the gaps from the .050-.060 to .040-.044 on the V8s (around 2003). So depending on the application you'd probably be looking at a TR51X (irradium) witch is already gapped at .040 (however always best to check). If you are other than NA you may be using a different plug, gapl, etc. Or if you have a powerful ignition you might change the gap too.

I don't know why they would go from .050 to .040, however I have an MSD anyway, so my .050 gaps are probably where they should be. JMHOl

An autolite 104 is just a standard copper plug.. bad news bears, imo. Spend the extra on the TR55-IXs, you won't regret it.
