Question What parts are LT1 specific?! ---

The optispark, waterpump, the intake setup, and the heads are my first guesses.

I have a FULL le2 setup that I am about to sell with crank, pistons, rods that I think I may be able to use in my 327 buildup.

Can I use the cam in my 1st gen small block too? Thanks guys ---

This should be an easy question to answer , I just need someone to reassure that I am correct ... or to point me in the right direction.

I am going to guess the cam is a no-go unless I get a roller conversion done to my 327 block, right?

So in essence, the bottom end parts (crank/rods/pistons) will swap.... the topend parts besides the rockers - no? How about lifters/pushrods? Thanks ---

need more info.

what 327, what block, 1 or 2 pc. rear main seal.

LT1 heads are not going to work on a SBC without alot of money converting them and its not worth it.

If you put that rotating assembly into a 4" bore block it won't be a 327 any longer. If the 4" bore block has a one-piece main seal, it wasn't a 327 to begin with. If the block has provision for a cam retainer plate, for lifter dog-bones and a lifter retainer spider, and if it has a one-piece seal you may be able to swap parts around. MD is correct, there are too many unknowns in the question for it to receive a complete answer.

Ok guys, thanks for making me accept reality. Looks like the only thing I will be able to swap into this setup is my 1.6 roller rockers, lmfao.

I just fell in love with the le2 sound and performance... I even wanted to swap one into my RS ... but in the end I just want my 327.

Its a small lobe stock forged crank, so it should be able to rev VERY high. Its just hard to let go of all these parts I hunted for over the years ( lt1 ) , lol. I appreciate the responses guys. It was a nice kick in the butt ---
