What Parts for a clutch?
What Parts for a clutch?
I just had my clutch done about 5k miles ago, the stock clutch put back in during a rebuild. Apparently the clutch doesn't like 5k rpm drops and launches at the track, so i think im gonna need a new one in a bit. It's still fine for normal driving, grabs at 2k no prob, but the other day i tried to pull a long burnout and when i popped the clutch it took about 1 second of sitting there before it engaged. Anyways, i was looking at spec stage II clutches, and now am looking at centerforce dual friction clutches, but i don't know a lot about the actual parts that would be replaced. Some places I can buy just the pressure plate and some a throwout bearing (dont no what that is) or the clutch disc. What parts do I need to get, and what parts could i just keep in there. Also, any major difference in the dual friction and stage IIwould be helpful.
Thanks
Bill

If your going to a new set up, you will need to swop out the whole thing. Pressure plate throughout bearing, disk and all. Everything you'll need should come in the clutch kit, including the alignment tool. They sell the induvidual parts, but you will need the whole set up.
