no that is wrong, the ones listed are stock LS7 lifters, the racing lifters are a whole different part, with lightweight internals

ya, only good to 8000 rpm with titanium valves, light weight springs and retainers, stock ls7 lifters are very good also

Good info. We have installed a few sets of the LS7 lifters and they work great. We have one 396 with the Caddy lifters in it we are still waiting to install

Be aware that the Caddy lifters may require a different pushrod length. I have heard the stacked height is not quite the same as stock.

Niether is the LS7 lifter Niether one was desighned for a SBC engine so the cup placement in the lifter is different.

Checkking pushrod length and geometry should be a given and always done on each and every project

Not sure what you mean by stacked height, but cup the pushrod sits in is defiantly a lot shallower than a stock lifter so a shorter pushrod will be needed like shoebox said

I just started looking into this myself. I am looking for an inexpensive alternative for my 98 LS1. I have c&c heads, 228, 232, 558, 112 cam, headers, etc etc. Would these work for me? If so which ones do I choose for limited extra stuff needed. My pushrods are allready shorter due to the headwork.

Reviving an old thread. So is there any benefit to paying an extra hundred for the Cadillac racing over the LS7 lifters for basically street use?
