What is part number 25140613???

I went to install my CAI last weekend and there is a box blocking half the opening where the CAI tube/K&N filter goes at the bottom. It says PL 25140613...
Don't remember anything in that hole on my last 94Z.
I did a search on the board and saw someone asking about a cruise control and listed this number. If it is cruise control should it be sitting right in the way like this?

I would guess more than likely it is the cruise module. I can send a pic of it if you want.

If it is cruise control should it be sitting down where my k&n filter sits? This thing is blocking me from getting the cai tube through the opening...

I would say that is it. I had to take off the trim piece on the bottom of that area to my Moroso on. I think it is an 8mm or 10mm bolts. Once you get that part of it should go right on. Then you just put your filter on, I had to use a "Stubby screwdriver" to tighten it. Took me about 10 min. once I figured out I had to go in from the bottom.

Can't imagine the cruise module being in the way of any CAI. The module is located on the outside of the LH front frame rail, inside the splash panel mentioned. My K&N FIPK does not interfere with it.

Hmm, that does look like it is in the way. Odd though, I don't have any wires going down into that hole for the cruise and I don't think mine is mounted in the same place (could be wrong). The plate for my FIPK covers that entire hole, so there there is no way for any wires to go that direction.

Looked funny to me too...
My other car was the exact same year and I installed a K&N CAI with no problem....
I can possibly reroute the wire around, but the box itself is really in the way.
I'd like to know what it is for sure and where it is supposed to be mounted.

After looking in the manual at the mounting, it sure looks like it is mounted wrong. In your pics, it appears to be mounted directly to the frame rail, but the manual shows that it should sit in a "tray" or bracket that attaches to the frame rail (the unit is actually rotated 90º, where the part that is mounted on the frame rail in your pic, is mounted to the bottom of the tray). The tray makes it tuck under the frame rail more. I think that tray is missing on your car. The wire routing has to be wrong, too. Maybe a previous accident caused all the changes?

[edit] I knew I had a pic and finally found it. This shows a little of what I mean.

Um, Odd, I have a 94 Z M6 w/cruise control and have absolutely nothing like that down there. I mean nothing like that even close to where that is. Somthing's fishy

BTW: Rob, I'm not authorized to view that photo. What gives...

Thanks for the help...
The photo at least gives me an idea of how it should be mounted. I'll have to get under there this weekend and see how mine is done.
