What numbers will it put out?

Well I have had my Heads/Cam for awhile now but have been building the rest of the car up with supporting mods so the H/C package should be in shortly. What kind of numbers do you think I will be putting up?

94 a4
FIPK intake
Pacesetter LT's
3"X-pipe
Dynomax bullets
3" true duals
3.73 gears
MSD 6AL/8.5mm wires
Holley 58 mm throttlebody
NGK tr55 spark plugs
36# injectors
1.6 rockers

INTAKE/EXHAUST
.100"-90/64
.200"-153/118
.300"-207/167
.400"-253/197
.500"-275/214
.600"-284/225

-ported/polished and fully assembled 94 castings.
-The valves are 2.05/1.6
-198cc
-custom grind billet core cam 2.32 duration .6+ lift
-0.039" headgaskets

Take your guess, I can't wait.

225 cfm @ .600 with stock castings Was the exhaust flowed with a pipe? I just noticed you are running 1.60 valves. I guess that could give you quite a bit more cfm.

The heads were ported by Mike Blackstone and matched with one of Bret's custom cams. A lot of work went into this setup.

Re: What numbers will it put out?

I'm not really good with guessing on automatic cars, but with those heads and supporting mods I would think over 400 rwhp easy. Maybe with an auto you will be a little low around 390? I have a small heads/cam package compared to you and I'm at 379 for sure with an M6. I've added an elec. w/p and ported manifold since my last dyno so I'm confident I'm at 390 at least. Good Luck with it!!

Re: What numbers will it put out?

I put down 365 rwhp and the car was running like ****. I had a bad opti and the fuel pump (stock) couldn't keep up. I didn't take it back after that, but I will now that I have it all ironed out. I'm hoping for at least 400 rwhp. I would have hoped for at least 390 through the auto.

Who is tuning the car? That will make a huge difference also.

I havent made up my mind yet. Popular tuners in the area are Josh Bommer and Kieth Mccord. I might go with Kieth. You wouldn't happen to be on FAST would you? (f-body assoc of St Louis)

That setup should be killer. I had those heads here two times and they are some double throwdown stuff for sure. You might be suprised with the HP and TQ numbers you get out of it.

Yes, I am a member of FAST. IMHO, I've heard the best things about a guy named Tim (mpfi406) or some name like that. He is supposed to be rediculously good. I'm pretty sure he guarantees to tune better than anyone in the area. He does all street tuning though.

Is Tim the guy who does Redline's tuning? I wanted to go with Kieth because of the appeal of a dyno tune but they all suggest a dyno tune isnt best for the street..I'm sure I'll be in good hands with whoever I go with.

Yeah, I think Tim is doing Redline's tuning. I know Andy and Chad and I'm pretty sure he's tuned both of their cars. You should be in good hands though.

I hear nothing but good things about Keith's work on the MOFBA and MOFBODY boards.
