what is a normal temp readout for an A4 transmission?

Just installed my electrical autometer trans temp guage. the sender is in the side of the transmission (93 Z28 4L60). I drove it for about 15 minutes, pretty hard driving, and it was holding steady at ~ 190 degrees

Is that normal? High? Low?

That's normal, man. Don't sweat it, if you had installed it in line by the cooler, you'd read lower, it's a little higher because it's stuck into metal.
