How about a higher stall? On my HOTcam'd car I felt like I was leaving some E.T. on the table with the 2800. I've seen nice times out of the Yank SS3600 You'd need to save up a little more though.

Edit: what's your 1/8th mile trap and E.T.? Your track times seem a little slow......

Tell me about it, compared to other Hotcammed/ heads cars with the same type of mods...it juss seems to be doggin...and that time was with slicks!

1/8 on that run was 7.969 @ 86.13MPH....and that was the best I could ever pull outa it with the slicks!

Cams, converters and RE gears all work together. It's best to contact someone who knows rather than guess at the proper stall speed.

Hmmmmm, I had a HOTcam kit, homeported heads, SLP headers, flowmaster catback, Meziere pump, K&N CAI, Midwest 2800 stall, PCMforless tune, drag radials and I ran a similar time.

The run was made at a notoriously slow 1/8th mile track in the area. My particular 1/8th mile times there lag about .3 and 1mph behind my times at Beech Bend which is a 1/4 mile. My best run was an 8.1 @86.7, and although I never made it to the 1/4, I was expecting a 7.80 @88 on the way to a 12.3/12.4 @110. I noticed that compared to other cars mine was a bit slower off the line, but seemed to start running cars with similar E.T.'s down at about the halfway point of the 1/8 mile track. This is what showed me that I needed some more stall.

Detailed info on the Scorpion 1.7 swap can be found here:
http://camaross.com/forums/showthread.php?t=422491

They will clear the LT4 covers with no modification. But depending on the rest of your valvetrain setup, it might get expensive for ya (unless you already have guideplates, hardened pushrods, and spring that will handle the extra lift)

i'll second the 3 suggestions above...

the obvious bolt on is the electric wp.

or
more converter
or
1.7 rockers

maybe you'd pick up some top end if you fabbed up a 2.5" true dual exhaust setup?? or maybe just a second cutout on the ypipe with dual electric plates.

I'd definately say electric waterpump -- other than that maybe some seat time?

Your 1/8th mile sounds good, perhaps the slicks are slowing you down on the top end? What size are they?

This past weekend I pulled a 12.7 @ 106 on my stock heads LT4 Hot Cam A4 car.
