What is the name of the sensor on the timing cover??

What is the name of the sensor on the timing cover??

I have an oil leak coming from the sensor on the timing cover, what is the name of the sensor, it probably needs a new o-ring.

CPS or crankshaft position sensor... its purpose is to detect misfires.

Does it have a part number that I can use to get a new one or is their a replacement o-ring??

There is a replacement O-ring. I don't remember the part number.

Here's the GM # for the sensor..Couldnt find the o-ring...

1996-1997 crankshaft position sensor 10456534

Not in the parts book, took a little digging...

My references are limited.... Thats why I couldnt find it...
