Unhappy What are my options?

When I was removing the hub the smaller bolt I was using to push against the crankshaft buckled and I think damaged some threads. Other than that the entire cam install went smoothly (new XE 224/230 is in the engine now) What can I do? How much will this cost me? I tried putting the original bolt back it and after a couple threads it just gets stuck and when I take it off it shaves part of the outer threads on the bolt off. I dont need a new crankshaft do I?

Run a tap into the crank shaft to clean it up. That is what I did. I believe it is a 7/16 -20. Use a bottom tap.

Thats what I was thinking, I wasnt sure if the crankshaft metal was stronger than the tap though.

A tap and some cutting fluid, go slow and should be able to save it.
