what are my options??
what are my options??
i have about $4000 to spend on mods, wut could i do to get the most power out of my car? how much would installation cost me for a cam? what would it be for gears? any help is appreciated
Re: what are my options??
Well you have a lot of options really, first we would need to know what car you have and what you want to do with it. IE drag, roadrace, street... For 4k you could probably do a heads/cam package with full bolt ons and be puting 400+ to the wheels.
Re: what are my options??
car is a 93 camaro, a4, 30k miles, stock except for corsa catback, i have to pay for the installation of the stuff i get so that has to be brought into consideration.
Re: what are my options??
Look into the LE head and cam packages, the LE 3 set up runs about 1800 and will put down over 400 to the wheels with supporting mods.

Re: what are my options??
Dont forget that if you want full power from a set of heads and a cam, you might want to look into upgrading your exhaust flow. A set of headers could help that. depending upon the setup you go with, possibly a ported or larger throttle body. with better flowing heads, dont forget the larger fuel injectors as well. Also, what good would it be to have a set of good flowing heads without the appropriate valvetrain parts. make sure you look into what you want really well. Theres always the options of bigger gears and some subframe connectors.
If you are going to have to pay someone to remove and install all parts, that will somewhat limit your options. you might need to call around to get an idea of what it would cost to get all the parts that you want put in. write all this information down and come up with a good gameplan before you start buying parts. make sure that everything that you need for your setup is included in the budget and will all work together efficiently.
